LISTEN TO INTERVIEW NOW!
I had the privilege of sitting down with Long Island artist Splash 631, and what unfolded was an honest, genuine, and engaging conversation. From the moment he arrived—with his young son at his side—it was clear this was more than just an interview. It was a glimpse into the life of an artist who wears many hats: musician, father, and storyteller.
Splash opened up about his upbringing and how that environment shaped not only his perspective but also his sound. He spoke in depth about the influences that helped mold his artistry—both musical and personal.
One thing that caught me CLEARLY off-guard was learning about his love for animals. Not going to lie, for an artist with such street cred, I didnt expect Splash to have such an interest for wildlife! But truthfully it's a detail that might seem small on the surface, but it added dimension to our conversation.
Discussing fatherhood brought in another layer. Watching him interact with his son during the interview was a powerful reminder that the drive to succeed in music often comes with the deeper motivation of building something meaningful for the next generation. Splash spoke openly and without hesitation, allowing us to see the full picture of who he is—not just as an artist, but as a man.
Of course, no interview would be complete without discussing the musical landscape of Long Island. Splash shared his thoughts on what the region offers and, more importantly, what it still needs. His vision for collaboration was inspiring and felt rooted in a desire to see the SCENE rise—not just himself.
What usually never happens is time for fun questioning. We also spoke about dream collaborations, and hearing his excitement and creative ideas was a reminder of just how far he’s aiming to go.
Above all, I left our conversation grateful. Splash is not only a talented artist—he's a grounded and intentional. Success is not far off!
