The other day, I had the pleasure of curating a special hour of *The Play It Cool Show* on 90.3 WHPC — and this one meant a little more than usual. To celebrate my birthday, I dedicated the entire hour to new music exclusively from Long Island artists, paired with local news and happenings that reflect the culture and heartbeat of this place I call home.

This wasn’t just a birthday show. It was a love letter to Long Island. A sonic tribute. A moment to recognize the talent that often gets overlooked just miles away from major industry hubs.

The mission is clear: Get the Long Island sound out to the world!

There’s a rawness here. A hunger. Artists from every pocket of the Island are telling their stories, shaping their sound, and building something special. I see it, I hear it, and I feel a deep responsibility to make sure others do too. That’s why *The Play It Cool Show* exists — not just as a radio show, but as a platform for elevation, discovery, and celebration.
