MAXX BOND PLAYS IT COOL
Hempstead, Long Island, has a rich musical history, and Maxx Bond is one of the artists continuing to add to that legacy. A rapper, drummer, and creative with a passion for both music and fashion, Maxx has spent years developing a style and identity that extend far beyond the recording booth.
During a recent visit to The Play It Cool Show, Maxx joined Corey Cool for a conversation about his musical beginnings, his evolution as an artist, and the deeply personal inspiration behind his project, Terrence Moore.
Music Is in the Family
For Maxx Bond, music has always been more than a hobby. Growing up with a father who was heavily involved in music helped shape his early relationship with the art form.
And while many know Maxx for his abilities behind the microphone, his talents extend to the drum set as well. That musical versatility is an important part of his identity, reflecting an artist whose appreciation for music goes beyond writing verses.
Throughout his career, Maxx has continued to develop his craft while building a reputation for consistency, creativity, and a willingness to put in the work.
Consistency Never Goes Out of Style
Speaking of consistency, Maxx has found another way to express himself through his ongoing Maxx Style Fridays series. A new blazing joint accompanied by a video EACH WEEK!
In an industry where artists are constantly encouraged to reinvent themselves, Maxx continues to demonstrate that building a recognizable identity involves more than releasing records.
A Project Bigger Than Music
Perhaps the most meaningful part of the conversation centered on Terrence Moore, a project named in honor of Maxx’s late cousin and manager, who passed away following a battle with cancer. Terrence wasn’t simply someone handling business behind the scenes. He was family, a supporter, and an important figure in Maxx’s musical journey. Their relationship brought a deeper dimension to the interview, shifting the conversation beyond music and into the importance of having people who believe in your vision.
The project also celebrates Long Island’s musical community, bringing together familiar names from the scene, including Splash, Limelight, Passport General , and Pretty P.. It’s a reminder that while the music industry often places its attention on individual success, the relationships built along the way can be just as meaningful as the accomplishments themselves.
Still Representing Hempstead
From his early musical influences to navigating today’s social media-driven industry, Maxx Bond represents an artist who continues to evolve without losing sight of where he comes from.
Our conversation even made room for a little fun with a round of This or That, giving listeners another glimpse of the personality behind the music. But beyond the laughs, fashion, and records, the bigger story is one of dedication, community, and legacy.
For Maxx Bond, music is clearly about more than the next release. It’s about the journey, the people who helped shape it, and making sure their contributions aren’t forgotten.
